SideScatter storage notice
Version 0.1, effective 22 Oct 2026.
SideScatter stores information in your browser so that it works: your workspace, its autosave copy, your settings and your saved templates. This storage is strictly necessary for the service you asked for, so under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations it needs information, not consent. There is no cookie banner because SideScatter sets no cookies.
SideScatter sets no advertising cookies and loads no analytics or tracking scripts. The production bundle contains no analytics script, and its fonts are served from the same site.
What is stored
Names are kept from the app's earlier names (Aperture and Gatecraft) so that existing workspaces and settings keep loading.

The app also uses the aperture-worksheet-sync broadcast channel to keep a popped-out layout window in step with the main window. It passes messages between your own tabs and stores nothing.
What is not encrypted
Browser storage is not encrypted by SideScatter. Anyone with access to your browser profile, and any browser extension with access to this site, can read it. If you keep a provider API key on this device, it is stored the same way; do not keep keys on shared computers.
How to clear it
Use your browser's "clear site data" for this site (https://gatecraft.bio). This deletes every workspace held only in this browser. Save workspaces to a file first if you want to keep them.
